Andrew Porter, L.Ac. MQT, LS

Acupuncturist + Herbalist

Andrew first came to the practice of meditation over 20 years ago, which has since led him into deep immersion in a variety of eastern spiritual traditions & practices, including Vipassana, Qigong & Tai Chi, Medical Qigong Therapy, Tui Na,  Zen Buddhism, and the Somatic Meditations of Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhism. His unique treatment style blends the essence of these harmonizing healing arts and spiritual practices into acupuncture sessions to generate positive flow states and improve patient outcomes.

Acupuncture Sessions with Andrew may include a brief or—in the case of first time treatments and new or emergent health issues—more lengthy intake & dialogue about optimal treatment strategies, tongue & pulse examination, and acupuncture needle retention either in relative isolation or along with a ‘Deep-Dive’ guided meditation, massage and cupping therapy, or a passive but strongly nourishing cradling technique known as Yin Tui Na.

Andrew Porter is a Licensed Acupuncturist & Herbalist certified by both the California State Board of Acupuncture and the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). He is also a Licensed Massage Therapist certified by the California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC), a Medical Qigong Therapist certified by the International Institute of Medical Qigong (IIMQ), and a Certified Field Instructor for the American Chen Taiji Society (ACTS).
