ABOUT OUR FACILITATORS

Barbara Lish, RYT

 

Barbara has explored the physical practices of yoga since the early 2000’s. While learning to cope with her own autoimmune disorder, Barbara became a certified Health Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Her approach to good health is a mixture of fitness, nutrition, mindfulness, and finding joy in each day, and she loves guiding people to discover their own balance.

 

Barbara has relocated to Santa Cruz after living in Switzerland for nearly two years and Aspen, CO before that. When she’s not on her yoga mat or holding space for a family, she’s either tinkering with a gluten-free recipe or playing outside: hiking in the redwoods, surfing and tidepooling, and cultivating her edible garden!

 

Jen Holz, RYT, HHC, RYT

 

Jen has always expressed a love for food and exercise; however, it wasn’t until she left a demanding, high-stress job that she truly found her passion for nutrition and wellness. Following her heart, Jen was led to the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where she studied to become a Holistic Health and Nutrition Coach and founded To Be Nourished Nutrition and Wellness.

 

Jen uses a holistic approach to achieve health, wellness, and lifestyle goals for her clients through whole foods nutrition, yoga, and lifestyle guidance. Many nutrition programs dwell on calories, carbs, fats, and proteins. Instead of creating restrictive lists that define good or bad foods, Jen believes in providing the necessary tools to empower her clients to become their very own health advocate. After becoming a mama to two busy boys, Jen’s approach to what is realistic shifted. She’ll keep it real, accessible, sustainable and fun for everyone.

 

Kaysi Contreras, CEOT-500

 

With a background in commercial organic agriculture, Kaysi is a plant medicine advocate from food & nutrition to essential oils and herbs. She is 500+ hour Certified Essential Oil Therapist, Educator, and Formulator with advanced chemistry training. She is your personal concierge for our Healthy Plate program and will help you with logistical support and placement with an optimal group and facilitator. Not sure which group is for you?
