We are almost ready to host you at Luma for semi-private in-person classes as well as wellness services! This decision was made with much deliberation and care for the most vulnerable in our community in mind, and with a keen eye towards detail.


To make this as safe and smooth for our employees, teachers, staff, and clients, please read through these policies and procedures in their entirety.

Class Registration & Cancellations


  • In-person classes will begin the week of July 15, 2020.
  • Classes will be semi-private, limited to 5 students + 1 instructor in our larger studio, The Community Room. We will not be holding classes in the smaller Garden Room at this time.
  • Pre-registration is required. We will not be accepting walk-ins for in-person classes. Just as you’ve been doing for our live-stream, you can use our app or website for registration which will open shortly.
  • Soon you will see two tabs on our MBO registration software: Live Stream Classes and In-Person Classes. Please be careful to register for the appropriate class.
  • You can register for these semi-private classes two weeks in advance. Due to limited capacity, please keep others in mind when registering for future classes.
  • Please arrive at the time of class in order to minimize the amount of people in the building at a time. The instructor or a staff member will open the front door to invite students inside when the class is ready to begin. Please use social distancing when waiting outside.
  • If you need to cancel, please do so within 24 hours of the scheduled class time in order to offer space to someone else to book. Our system, MBO, will automatically charge you for the class or use one of your allotted weekly classes if on a 1x/week or 2x/week membership if you cancel within 24 hours or do not attend.


Wellness Registration & Cancellation


  • Wellness appointments can be booked starting July 6th, 2020.
  • We ask that you please pay for wellness appointments at the time of booking. This will help reduce time spent at the front desk after your appointment and our touchless check-in.
  • When registration opens, you can book online here.
  • You will need to fill out an intake form & additional COVID-19 waiver, which will be attached to your confirmation email. Please complete it at least 24 hours before your appointment time.
  • When you arrive, please wait outside. Your practitioner will text you when you can come in. Please make sure we have your phone number on file at the time of booking. Please practice social distancing when waiting outside.
  • If you are 15 minutes late or under, you may choose to receive the remaining length of your service; or you will be rescheduled. This is to mitigate the risk of overlapping with another client’s appointment. A 25% rescheduling fee will be applied.
  • If you need to cancel, please do so within 24 hours of your scheduled service time, however the more advanced notice is appreciated.
  • All no shows will be charged at full price.
  • Services cancelled less than 24 hours in advance will be charged 50% of the service.


How You’ll Help us Proceed with Care:


  • Use our hand sanitizer upon entry.
  • Each time you enter, sign our mandatory COVID-19 symptom & liability checklist. Please perform a self assessment at home prior to arriving for class so that you are attending symptom free.
  • BYOP (Bring Your Own Props) and water bottles. Other items that come with you such as your shoes, phone, and keys may go into the cubby area. Our staff will sanitize between uses. Please do not bring any unnecessary items into the building. Clean storage bins for personal belongings will be provided for wellness clients.
  • Our studio floor is clearly marked were you may place your yoga mat.
  • Masks are to be worn in the building at all times.  When settled on your mat for class, you may remove the mask.
  • Masks are required for both the practitioner and client for wellness appointments.
  • Masks are available for sale in our boutique if you need an extra or forget one.
  • To allow time for thorough cleaning, please do not linger after class or service.You can use the restroom and make purchases only.
  • One bathroom will be available for use, but will not be available for changing. Please come prepared in yoga attire prior to arrival.
  • We will be disposing of any items left and not claimed in a 24 hour window.
  • Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue, and throw the tissue in the trash.
  • At this time, family (including children) and friends are not permitted to wait for you at Luma during your service or class. Thanks for your understanding.


How We’re Caring for our Community:


  • We have thoughtfully crafted classes to be at least 30 minutes apart in order to allow time for class turnover and thorough cleaning between classes.
  • Spaces for yoga mats will be visibly marked with tape at at least a 6 foot distance from others and the instructor to ensure adequate social distancing.
  • Multiple hand sanitizing stations will be available upon entry, in the studio, at the front desk, in the restrooms, and in both treatment rooms.
  • Non-touch, covered trash receptacles will be available in all areas.
  • We will be running a HEPA Air filter which will filter out any virus-sized particles in the air potentially reducing the chance of transmission. In one pass HEPA filters can filter out over 99% of the coronavirus. There will be one filter in the studio, as well as one in each wellness treatment room
  • Bathrooms, studios, and wellness rooms will be disinfected between each class and/or wellness appointment.
  • All windows will be open during classes and wellness appointments, and the fan will be running between each class for optimum ventilation.
  • Studio floors will be swept and steamed after each class in used marked areas.
  • We will not be providing tea service or water during this time.
  • Employees and staff will be wearing masks at all times.
  • Virtual classes will continue to be offered so that those who choose or need to stay home can still access our classes.
  • Our cleaning schedule and checklist will be posted publicly for you to see.
  • We are open and available for questions, comments, and feedback about your experience in our center.
